Rally Silesia 2023: Numerous field in Southern Rally Championship
We already know the entry list for the Southern Rally Championship for the Rally Silesia! As many as 35 contestants, including, of course, the entire top of the competition classification, have applied to take part in the event based in Chorzów.
The entry list is opened by Marcin Gluza and Robert Sęk, i.e. the leaders of the scoring table. The Honda Civic crew have won two rallies this year and have a considerable advantage over their rivals, so they will be the favourites on the Silesian stages.
The next crews on the list – Kamil Kawalec and Sebastian Krzyżowski (Peugeot 208 GTi RN1), Piotr Wincencik and Jakub Sawiński (Renault Clio III RS RN1) and Grzegorz Szabat and Krzysztof Pawlak (Honda Civic Typer EP3) – will try to prevent them from taking another win. Of these three, only Wincencik has won this season, but in the score table these crews are separated by just three scores, so the fight for the ‘overall’ podium is extremely fierce.
A total of 35 crews entered for the rally, including as many as seven in the A1 category, six in the RN1, four each in the A2, RN3 categories and the Peugeot and Citroen Cup, as well as one each in the RN2 and Classic and eight in the Open categories.

The competitors competing in the Southern Rally Championship will start the 2023 Silesia Rally with Saturday’s superstage at the Silesian Stadium. The start of this trial for the RMP competitors is scheduled for 06:00 p.m. The main part of the rally will take place on Sunday, with drivers and pilots completing four special stages – two runs each of the Ochaby and Kiczyce trials. The winners will be honoured at the finish ceremony, which will take place on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at the Silesian Stadium.
