Proven Formula and International Status – Rally Silesia 2025 Programme Unveiled

Less than two months remain until this year’s Rally Silesia – one of the largest and most important motorsport events in both the region and Poland. From 19 to 21 September, competitors in the FIA European Rally Trophy (FIA ERT) and the Polish Rally Championship (RSMP) will take on the challenging Silesian stages. The full programme was officially unveiled on Monday, 28 July.

Thanks to the commitment of its organisers and the support of partners – most notably the Silesian Voivodeship, Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium (main partners), the Metropolis GZM as strategic partner, and the City of Katowice as co-host – Rally Silesia has, in just a few years, risen to become one of the most important events in rallying.

Since its debut in 2017, Rally Silesia has been a permanent fixture in the RSMP calendar. Over the years, the event has crowned Polish champions and thrilled fans with a spectacular superspecial stage in the very heart of Katowice – around iconic landmarks such as the Spodek arena, the Silesian Insurgents’ Monument, and the Culture Zone. Only a handful of cities worldwide can host rally stages in the centre of such a large metropolis – including Rome (Rally di Roma Capitale), Córdoba (Rally Argentina), and Athens (Acropolis Rally).

In 2023, the event gained international status as part of the FIA ERT. A year later, it hosted the season finale of the FIA European Rally Championship (FIA ERC) – the second most prestigious series in global rallying. The battle for the European title was decided on Silesian roads, with the champions crowned at the Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium.

Back on the European Trophy calendar

In 2025, Rally Silesia will once again be an international event, featuring as the 10th round of the FIA ERT and the 6th round of the RSMP, including the Millers Oils Historic Polish Rally Championship (Millers Oils HRSMP). As in previous years, the rally will take place under the honorary patronage of Wojciech Saługa, Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship.

Crews from the Southern Poland Rally Championship (RMP) – a regional series aimed at less experienced competitors and those with smaller budgets – will also line up at the start.

Friday night show in Katowice

This year’s edition begins on Friday, 19 September, with the ceremonial start at 18:00 on Katowice’s Dworcowa Street. Fans will have the perfect opportunity to see the cars up close and meet the competitors. At 20:35, the rally kicks off with the spectacular GZM Katowice Super Special Stage (1.85 km), run on fully closed and secured city streets.

Demanding Saturday leg

Saturday, 20 September, brings four challenging stages, three of them run twice – on bumpy tarmac roads with constantly changing grip, routes highly praised by competitors in previous editions.

  • SS2/SS5 Jastrzębie-Zdrój (11.90 km) – 09:00 and 15:15
  • SS3/SS6 Hażlach (14.40 km) – 10:00 and 16:15
  • SS4/SS7 Jasienica Municipality (15.50 km) – 11:00 and 17:15

Between the loops, fans can gather at the Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium, home to the service park. From 13:20, crews will attend a 30-minute service break – a chance to witness the mechanics’ precision work up close.

Saturday’s action concludes with the Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium Stage (1.50 km) at 19:30, providing a thrilling spectacle on the meadows of this legendary venue, nicknamed in Poland as the “Witches’ Cauldron” for the unique atmosphere once created here by crowds of over one hundred thousand fans during famous football clashes in the 1950s.

Sunday showdown in the south

The decisive leg on Sunday, 21 September will see three southern Silesian stages, each run twice:

  • SS9/SS12 Marklowice Górne (11.45 km) – 09:00 and 12:40
  • SS10/SS13 Kiczyce (9.70 km) – 10:00 and 13:40
  • SS11/SS14 Silesian Voivodeship (10.50 km) – 10:40 and 14:20

The final stage of the rally is held as the Power Stage, awarding bonus points to the five fastest crews.

Between the loops, competitors will stop at the tyre fitting zone in Jastrzębie-Zdrój Moszczenica (Carbonarium) from 12:10.

The closing ceremony and prize-giving will take place at the Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium on Sunday, 21 September at 16:45, officially bringing Rally Silesia 2025 to a close.
