Rally Silesia 2025: 150 kilometres of historic competition
150 km of competition across 14 special stages – that’s the challenge awaiting the historic crews at Rally Silesia (19–21 September). The event is the fifth, penultimate round of the Millers Oils Polish Historic Rally Championship (Millers Oils HRSMP).
Rally Silesia is a fixture of the historic championship calendar. The HRSMP field first came to Silesia seven years ago, in 2018. Since then, the event – organised by the Automobilists’ Foundation and Automobilklub Ziemi Tyskiej – has remained a permanent round of HRSMP.

The rally has been developed systematically and consistently. The organisers’ ambition, combined with partner support, elevated it to international status. In 2023 Rally Silesia formed part of the FIA European Rally Trophy (ERT), and a year later FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) crews – the world’s oldest rally series – lined up in Chorzów and Katowice. This year, Rally Silesia is again on the FIA ERT calendar. As a result, the Silesian round of the Millers Oils series is one of the two longest of the season by total special-stage distance.
The organisers have planned 14 special stages totalling 150 km, including two spectacular superspecials popular with fans. Rally HQ will once again be the legendary “Witches’ Cauldron” – Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium, which will also host the service park.

HISTORIC CARS IN THE HEART OF THE METROPOLIS
Competition at Rally Silesia begins on Friday evening (19 September), preceded by the ceremonial start. As in previous years, the sound of historic rally cars will echo through the very centre of Katowice – on Mariacka and Dworcowa streets – where the start ceremony will take place.
Crews then tackle a city-centre stage that is a unique spectacle on a European, and perhaps even global, scale: the GZM Katowice Superspecial (1.85 km), laid out in the largest city of the Upper Silesian – Zagłębie Metropolis (GZM), a conurbation of over 2.1 million residents.
On Saturday, the action moves to classic, proven tests in the southern part of the Silesian Voivodeship: two runs each of Jastrzębie-Zdrój (11.9 km), Hażlach (14.4 km) and the rally’s longest stage, Gmina Jasienica (15.5 km). Historic machinery can be temperamental, so between loops the crews return to Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium for a 30-minute service.
Saturday’s leg concludes with a 1.50 km superspecial on the grounds of the “Witches’ Cauldron.”

SIX SPECIAL STAGES ON SUNDAY
The final leg also heads south, without a mid-day return to service at Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium.
Three stages are planned, each run twice. Between loops – instead of the earlier return to Chorzów – there is a 15-minute tyre fitting zone in Moszczenica, a district of Jastrzębie-Zdrój.
In the final push for a top result at Rally Silesia, crews in historic rally cars will twice tackle Marklowice Górne (11.45 km), Kiczyce (9.70 km) and Silesian Voivodeship (10.50 km, near Ochaby).
The top crews of the fifth round of Millers Oils HRSMP will be honoured at Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium, where the finish ceremony is scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
In the historic classification, the outright record holder at Rally Silesia is Robert Luty, who won four times in a row (2018–2021). The three-time Polish historic rally champion took all those victories with Marcin Celiński. Luty/Celiński, in their Subaru Legacy 4WD Turbo, have also won the most Rally Silesia stages – 26.
