Whether you need a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, a romantic evening under the stars, an afternoon with children, or a dose of extreme adventure – the Beskids offer it all. The mountain surroundings, fresh air, and contact with nature provide relaxation for both body and soul.
So, what kind of attractions await us in the Beskids? Below, we present a list that will inspire even the most demanding tourist.
The Starry Night
“Forrest Gump” on the screen, a mountain panorama behind it, your favorite drink in hand, and the Milky Way above your head. Sounds like the promised land, but it’s simply an open-air cinema at the top of Mała Czantoria. This event is perfect for a romantic date, a quick getaway with friends or family, or just an evening for a movie buff who enjoys non-traditional setups.
The organizers of “Kino na Szczycie” invite you to screenings from May 31 to August 31, every Friday and Saturday. The movies start right after dusk, allowing you to enjoy both a spectacular sunset and the magic of the cinema under a starry sky. A bit of rest under the Pyramids
Strolling through Zawodzie district in Ustroń, amidst the Beskid hills, you’ll come across the intriguing architectural forms of the resort and rehabilitation complexes. The “Pyramids” project, designed by a group of respected architects in the 1960s, to this day remains a hallmark of Ustroń. Their unique shapes and structures were intended to symbolize the surrounding landscape of mountains, trees, and water. Today, not only do they please the eye, but they also provide the perfect place to escape from the daily routine and relax for a weekend in one of the resorts located within these pyramidal constructions. Available to guests are hotels, spas, and rehabilitation centers. These complexes offer a wide range of services, perfect for dedicating some time to yourself without the need to embark on an 11-hour journey across the ocean.
Through the Trails of Adrenaline
Who said mountain terrains must be travelled on foot? Exactly, no one! For those who aren’t fans of hiking but still want to experience a dose of high-altitude thrills, mountain biking is a must-try. Following this idea The Enduro Trails complex in Bielsko-Biała was created. It’s a network of one-way mountain bike trails where cyclists can navigate narrow, winding, and undulating paths of varying difficulty levels—from easier, gently sloping routes to steep, technically challenging descents. The trail center and information point are located in the urban Błonia area, at the foot of Kozia Góra. The trails extend between Szyndzielnia and Kozia Góra (in the Klimczok massif).
The Kingdom of Deer and Other Surprises
We already know that the strength of the Silesian Beskids lies in its majestic nature, which serves as the perfect backdrop for all activities. In addition to the surrounding views of mountains and green forests, it’s worth paying attention to the wildlife that delights visitors, both young and old, at the Leśny Park Niespodzianek in Ustroń. Deer, mouflons, and fallow deer roam freely in the park, already used to human presence, they eagerly approach visitors for pets and treats. In enclosures, you can see bison, wild boars, and wildcats, among others, as well as attend the scheduled shows featuring owls and birds of prey. This form of interacting with nature provides unforgettable adventures and valuable memories for the whole family.
